Coming from a troubled MacBook Pro Nvidia 8600M GT - let me say that I was very skeptical about buying an Apple laptop with nVidia chip in it.
However, one weekend I decided to visit the nearest Apple dealer and check the models just released. My decision was mainly influenced by lower prices and greater battery life.
After some discussion, to buy the old model, at the same price or getting the latest, we decided for the last half-end $ 1999 model with 2 GPUs. As is common, I had a very good selling price for my old MacBook Pro, as it had AppleCare.
This generation is an improvement over all of last generation, unless you happen to use the ExpressCard in the 15 "model. In our case, we never used ExpressCard after trying to use an eSATA card that did not work very well . and we have a few SD cards that figure can easily use.
