I was contemplating purchasing a netbook for over a year and did a lot of research online and hands-on evaluation. While there are now some pretty solid products in this category (Toshiba, HP) have all left me wishing the screen design and size of the keyboard, but also the results. So when I saw the Acer AS1410, no doubt I could finally pull the trigger. It is only marginally larger than the average netbook, but the screen is excellent just the right size and resolution is perfect. Unit weight, battery life, and the price is entirely in the cortex ball what defines the category of netbooks. Best of all, its 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Solo ULV SU3500 all the blows of single core Intel Atom processor out of the water, especially if you're streaming video [...]. The gigantic 250 GB hard drive is more of a necessity, and the brick rather small and light power is perfect for travel. Not only am I happy, but my wife, because it is available in red.
